Product Description

Query and analysis tools in the ITS Toolbox Explorer work together efficiently with the Smallworld Explorer and other editors. This simplifies daily routine work or special tasks.

Data Analysis in Smallworld GIS

The Smallworld Explorer in Smallworld GIS is the central hub for all types of data queries. Various tools can be used to display and group data. Information regarding selected objects in the map are shown in a list or in search results of a predefined object query. Copy and paste tools are also available. Functions in the ITS Toolbox Explorer have been especially developed for utility companies.

Asset Search

When using the asset search tool in the ITS UBM basemap module, various assets of a specific road or address are displayed in the Smallworld Explorer. These results can be filtered even further, for example for specific house numbers. When roads are renamed, affected assets can be identified quickly.

Bulk Object Editing

Next to these analysis functions, ITS Toolbox Explorer also enables bulk object editing. This means that prefiltered objects (via reports or queries) can be edited in bulk. The editing menu shows attribute fields that are identical for all selected objects. New values are inserted directly via the menu.

ITS Geometry Finder

Geometries can be found using the ITS Geometry Finder by marking an area in the map or by searching the geometry database. By searching the database, it is possible to use attribute values to look for specific geometries whereas marking an area in the map will show all selected geometries. It is possible, for example, to search the geometry database for specific water components within a certain district. The length and area of selected objects is also displayed in the list.

Display Extensions

With the ITS Toolbox Explorer it is possible to use a combination of editors in the Smallworld Explorer and to filter, edit or export results. For example, it is possible to carry out object queries in the data tree and to include objects in sub-branches. These objects can also belong to referenced databases that appear in the tree. The results will show identical fields of all objects. These can be edited simultaneously. This function is used, for example, to search for assets of a specific road that has been renamed. Another common scenario is to evaluate the pipeline length within a specific area. This module is perfectly suited to carry out these types of queries.

The ITS Toolbox Explorer in combination with standard Smallworld Explorer functions was specially designed for utility companies. Now it is possible to carry out complex analyses and edit data in bulk with just a few mouse clicks.
